i got lucky. sharky accepted that muse was ahead of him in the pack and then i started fostering others. right now i have pink from lincoln park and anytime i try to grab her and pick her up, sharky barks at me. he must pick up on her feral instincts. she doesn't attack, just cringes then melts into a mushball in my lap and arms.
foxy was found downtown. the people who brought him in saw he had a collar but no id tags. they begged us to give him a chance, and he was very docile and easy to handle so he had no problems other than the ongoing bout of upper respiratory. he's in isolation again, getting medication. the shelter is no place for such a beautiful cat with a great purrsonality.
