I am in total agreement with you regarding the fact that most of the population that have or want a pet, think that pet stores are the best way to find what they want..they don't realize that these pets come from puppy mills...and as you said, even Oprah was unaware of this situation until it was brought to her attention...with Oprah doing this show, I feel that the "shadow of shame" that is over the puppy mill saga will be lifted and as more people are made aware of the conditons that the animals are living in, action will be taken to shut them down and more people will go to shelters to adopt.
