I have volunteered at different shelters in the past, but not felt the deep compassion for animals that I do at Maxfund. The total committment of the staff and volunteers is outstanding. I believe in the no-kill philosophy and feel that there is a home for every animal, no matter how long it takes. The Maxfund is trying to do the best it can with what it has, but so much more can be done with an updated facility. The end result is always what is best for the animals.
