I encourage the presidential candidates to work for and on the issue of pet-overpopulation, puppy mills, shelters and rescues. Our nation is considered progressive and humane, however when it comes to animals in our care, many are far from humane. We must help shelters who must rely on donations to exist. People cause pet overpopulation and run puppymills. Therefore this is a public problem. As the wise Ghandi stated: A nation is judged on how they treat their animals. I will only vote for a candidate who is compassionate and acts to help animals. Read Less
