I have had the unfortunate incident with a cat crawling into the engine compartment to stay warm in the winter next to the turned off warm engine. The horror that one faces when you turn the engine on to hear a thump and noise that one does not forget, is painful. I suggest that regardless of you being a pet owner or not to take a simple precaution of banging on the hood while you pass to get into the car. Wait a few seconds before starting the engine, and if a minor hesitation in starting, turn it off to make sure the animal has time to escape the mutilation chamber it is in. No one wants to back their vehicle to see a flopping cat dieing from being maimed. Read Less

In finding the gas prices having gotten out of control, it was observed in our area of the state that more people took to four legged transport. For the sake of both horse and man, this animal should be allowed to stay in the since it gives the elderly man a sense of better health. Good luck. Read Less

We thank our local Humane Society of Cherokee County for being on top of this and quickly e-mailed all members for them to check. Well I had an aged cat that quickly got sick and died, just assumed it to be old age. THEN-my other aged cat started to throw up and have a messy stool. Thought it might be a hair ball or something, BUT in the nick of time got the email, checked my special kitty bag and found it to be one of the recalled bags. Ya, wal-mart took it back, and replaced it. But they could not replace a pet that we had over twelve years. Just when you thought the pet food industry was safe and had it together you get a name brand that you feel you should trust come up with another scare. Read Less

It is alarming to see another pet product from a leading supplier be on the recall list. It is even more scary to think that our beloved pets trust us to provide safe treats and food. Our pets are most precious to us and it appears the food and drug may need to evaluate standards on all areas of industry. Ok guys, enough is enough. It is time for standards from the food and drug to step up on this. The pet food industry is leading no. 1 and the amount of money each of us spends on our loved ones is insane. Therefore, if we feel that devoted to our loved ones, then why do we not make the industry responsible to standards. Every time I purchase a bag of something to give them, I wonder if it is safe. I feel that every legislature representative should have an out cry on this and create a new strategy for our animals to be safe. Read Less
Pet lovers always have pets, they just do not get one to please the media or America. What about the dogs coming home from Iraq?? What about other needs, I donate so much a month to support a shelter? Did not hear any of this.
