Yes - we need all of them to speak up and support adopting from shelters as well as advocating spaying and neutering ... do any of them have pets they have adopted from shelters? It amazes me that they can raise millions in one day for self promotion when we are all struggling as people's wallets keep getting pinched by the economy, job loss, gasoline, etc. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they would commit that a percentage of the funds received during the week of Mother's Day be retained by the local offices do be split between all agencies in that area promoting any low cost spay neuter programs. If a candidate raised $5 million that one week, he/she would allocate let's say 1% to spaying and neutering it would be $50,000! What an impact that would have across the country. If they can't use the funds because they are donated for a political cause, then they could personally anti up an equivalent amount.

How refreshing it would be to have some one with national coverage to step up to the plate and express their concern about the senseless killing that goes on each and every day across our nation. Read Less
