everyone we know thats adopted from the shelter was happy with the fact that they weren't interogated and hounded before and after adoptions... we even decided against adopting from several organizations that wanted to invade our home, friends, work and vets for references. My vets office (staff 5+ vets) doesn't have time to deal with two page questionaires on me being qualified to own a pet. I see different vets almost every time I go to that hospital... and there are often new/different vets. How can THEY answer these questions???

besides... the shelter staff were extremely interested in follow ups from US as we saw fit. They asked for pictures and updates once we were settled and encouraged us to call or email with ANY questions and/or problems.

Personally I don't want to have a group call and grill me days, weeks and months after I adopt a pet. If I have issues I'll call them. I'm a big girl... I know how to pick up a phone!

I feel this comment is short sighted and intrusive! Read Less
