It is a fantasy to think there are enough homes to take these pit bulls, even if they pass temperament testing. Most families I see come through the shelter I work at won't even look at pits. The few people that are interested in them we end up turning down because they usually rent and the landlord won't allow it (insurance reasons) or they are young guys looking for a status symbol and don't have the first clue about owning a breed like this. Unfortunately it is going to take a lot of time to turn this mess around. If you are not willing to adopt a pitbull YOURSELF, and have it in YOUR house, with YOUR children, do not complain about these dogs being euthanized. There are simply not enough educated and responsible people who want to adopt these dogs. Read Less
