I guess Spring is almost here. The Canadian Geese are back down at the pond and it looks like they are nesting. Fenris doesn't bark at them which is nice. We saw them when we were out walking. read more

To be fair to the Obama's I did a search on Petfinder.com for a Portuguese Water Dogwww.petfinder.com+Water+Dog&animal=Dog&age=baby
Only 3 dogs came up, all were mixes. One wasn't suitable as the coat was not hyper allergenic. The other two already had holds on them.
The most important thing was the Obama's found a dog that would fit in with their family, and will be a valued family member.
It would have helped no one for them to adopt a shelter dog and then have to return it because of "issues". They did the responsible thing they researched dogs and found a breed that wouldn't trigger their daughters allergies. And the dog they accepted came from a reputable breeder who was rehoming the dog after it had be returned. I think it was a win for everyone. Read less
