Great leash/collar combo
I've seen these employed by our local animal control to help wrangle stray cats/dogs. They work great and they can take a thrashing.

Nylon lasts and lasts
Nylon leashes are very durable and stand up forever. I've used one to walk various dogs at the shelter, and they are great to use.
