I would love a dog but I can not have a house dog and I don't have the money for underground fencing right now - I will eventually get the fencing I want so that I can provide a great home for an older dog or two - but until then I will just continue to sponsor dogs for people who do have a good homes for them. I plan on fencing in my back and side yard - around 3/4 of a acre just for a dog and there is lots of shade there - I live out in the country and off the road so I think they will be happy. I must have an older dog due to the fact that I have horses and sometimes younger dogs can get into trouble with horses. When I get a dog, I will be getting the dog from the shelter. If the shelter ever has a dog that comes in that they feel would be okay to just leave loose on the farm when I am at work I would be glad to adopt the dog but I refuse to tie a dog out and so my only option at this point is underground fencing.
