Description: Max was an orphan of a stray cat that a friend took in and cared for until he was off the KMR. We took him, then realized that - although there's no way to know for sure - he very well could have been born the same day our beloved Sabrina passed away. So we think it's fate he ended up with us! At first we named him Forrest (as in Gump) because if he was going anywhere, he was RUNNING! Then he started to settle down and grow...a lot...so we changed his official name to Maximus Kittycaticus

Clyde's story deserves it's own journal entry for the details though, so suffice it to say, when he passed away that October the house… read more

Sometimes the strangest things bring back memories of my beloved Newfoundland, Daisy. They say the time to start seedlings for your garden is by the full moon in March, which this year was March 21st. So, being the procrastinator that I am, March 20th I walked eagerly into our local Home Depot and headed straight for the racks of se… read more

Named Elsa in honor of the lioness in "Born Free", our friendly little furball has finally proven she lives up to her namesake. Last weekend a little mouse found its way into our house. I knew something was up when I came downstairs and saw Elsa peering beneath the couch, while our other two cowards, Max and Wally, watched from a safe d… read more
