I believe that people that cannot keep their dogs under control, whether they are home or not, should not be able to own them. Yes these dogs were just "playing" it seems like because they had just gotten a new toy, a tire toy. But what happens when they get a toy that resembles something else that could be more serious? What if they happen to get a toy that resembles a small animal, or a child, or infant? What will they do then? I don't think that these dogs were properly trained. I think that they were negelected to the point that all the only form of play they knew was to play pack style and gang up on the things that they considered toys. The owner should have to pay for all of the damage because she is the reason the dogs are the way they are. Read Less
i don't believe that this was an accident either.. i would try and keep the cat indoors or at least close to the house if at all possible... If you live by a wooded area then it is likely that people are hunting in there.. Be it hunting season or not.

I can not believe that if the person responsible pleads guilty that we can't give thema tougher jail sentence!!!! I mean come on what if you tied up a human being and left them without food or water. She obviously was desperate for food and water.. Desperate enough to chew/eat her own leg!!! what the hell is this world coming to??? Why would you even go through the effort of owning a dog if you were only going to tie it out and leave it to die in the yard??? you buy an animal to love them and to make them a part of your family no to torture and kill just for the fun of it. This kind of stuff makes me mad. i am a strong believer that the owner should have to go through what the dog had to go through!!! Justice must be served!!! Read Less

Again we have another SICK individual here!! i can't believe that people think of dogs this way. It really makes me angry to hear about things like this! The one thing that really gets my blood boiling is why don't the accused have to spend more jail time than what they are charged. They kill the animal for no reason so why not get punished for it. Its not right... What if there was another person in the house instead of the dog? He could have committed murder and then this ordeal would be a hell of a lot bigger wouldn't it? How come the dog gets no justice for what happened to him?? It's not his fault he was in the wrong place at the wrong time!! Read Less

Some people should never be able to own dogs like this if they do not know how to handle them. Dogs like this obviously need a little extra care and handling. Things like dog-to-dog mauling can be prevented! I guess that there are people out there who are too dumb to actually own a dog as "complicated" as a pit bull. Stories like these are all over the news acusing anyone and everyone to be afraid of this breed when in reality it is the owners fault 100%. Read Less
It is about time a state actually made a stand for the animals. They can only do too much to stand up for themselves before they are considered "aggressive" or "mean". Way to go for actually caring about your animals well-being.
