I comepletely agree!!! I believe that people need to be educated in order to own animals of anykind and that you need a license to breed an animal. You should have to pass a test!

Way to go Kenz!!! It really is getting a lot harder to walk through the doors.. Its hard to get as many animals adopted when you can't house them together. Dogs fighting all of the time, which limits the amount of animals we can put up for adoption. We simply don't have enough room for the Tri-state area. We need a bigger location/shelter. Boxers are just great dogs anyway... not matter what you do to them they are always prety patient. I love Bristol and I miss seeing you and her around the shelter! Happy Thanksgiving!

It doesn't happen very often but we are forced to make that decision sometimes and as Liz said it is extremely difficult on the entire staff... I love working at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society but we need a lot more space if we are going to continue to take in the numbers we took in in 2008! Dontcha just wish that you could just snap your fingers and be done with it?? I always have laundry to do and I get it through the wash OK.. It's the folding the laundry that I have trouble with... ;)
