Working at the shelter, or any for that matter, is a difficult task for anyone. It was hard for me to work there at times. But you can only get through it by knowing that you may adopt one of the animals you care for into a loving, forever home that day or reunite them with there owner. As many animals that come through the shelter, as much as you want, I know I did, you just can't possibly save them all. You can only take joy in those you can save, and give extra TLC to those you can't until there time is "up". It's unfortunate in a country as wealthy as America that we still must euthanize a healthy, adoptable animal due to the lack of space & funding. Read Less
