This morning I was carrying a full clothes basket downstair to the washer, in bare feet, when I stepped on something cold and gooey. Yup. A big hairball. Thanks Monty or Ada. Don't blame your sister Truffles because she has short dark hair. read more

We got so much work done today at home and even had time to take Mom for a spin around Home Depot. Strangest thing was that when I was cutting Truffles nails and she was having a bit of a fit, Monty took it upon himself to intervene by bitting her and pulling out great tufts of her fur. Haven't had that happen before. read more

I am so pleased that our two resident cats have accepted Ada into their personal colony. While not ideal, the cats do spend some of their time in our basement with many windows to look outside, perches, multiple litter boxes, scratching stuff, toys, etc. Ada is so sweet and forgiving that fitting in never seemed to worry her like it did me. read more
