Butt whorls!

Does every short-coated breed of dogs have little whorls on their butts? You know, right at the tops of their legs? I think this is the cutest thing. I hope no one thinks I'm being creepy or anything. I just think it's so weird how fur grows on certain parts of a dog's body. Cowlicks are funny too. Although sometimes they're not as visible on a short-coated dog, my dobie used to have two cowlick patches where her fur grew the wrong way. Verrrrrry cute. read more

My Beach Bulls.

We brought Calvin and Brock to the beach for the first time together last weekend. Of course, we had to bring them VERY early in the morning or late at night due to its being high season for tourists. Usually when they're together they play with each other and wrestle and knock each other down and stuff. At the beach though...they didn't even care if the other was on the beach. The Best of Friends

I caught Calvin and Brock licking each other's faces last night and I just about died from the cuteness. They've come a long way from the initial animosity toward each other. Now they're brothers and best friends. I love it when a plan comes together! read more

Sibling Harmony

Calvin and Brock are still not completely 100% OK with sharing toys and sometimes sharing Mommy and Daddy but for the most part, they have come around very nicely. I am thrilled for both of them when they are playing in the back yard together. They're so cute together. read more

Calvin and Brock

Well after much growling and snapping and generally bitchiness, Calvin is finally getting used to Brock. Brock is super, super submissive so he's doing a good job of diffusing Calvin. My husband and I are also finally getting the hang of just how to treat the two of them together and the fighting is getting less and less prevalent. Thank you to everyone who responded to my inquiries about two pit bulls together and my question about the hostility between the two. read more
