I would never leave my dog in the care of others to be "trained". By being an active participant in the process, you can decide if the methods are not appropriate. When I was much less experienced, I enrolled in an obedience class for my first dog. I pulled her from the class after the trainer went through a new method of "popping" the dog with the collar to get them not to pull and found another trainer that used only positive reinforcement. If these accusations are founded, these trainers should be charged with abuse. Read Less
