I felt bad for the one who didn't make it, but he was only a puppy and was just to full of fun to concentrate. I'm sure he will make it next time. Not sure what we'll try next. Maybe Rally o… read more

Yep a training class is the way to go. I've always trained my own dogs (6 of them) and thought I did ok, but thought I would give a class a try because someone told me about a trainer who love Pits and had her own rescues. So off to class my husband (he needed it more than the dogs) and I went and what fun we had! I couldn't believe how much we learned. I got some of the same results as when I did it myself, but the class tought me much easier and faster ways to do it, without all the aggravation I got before. I know the dogs liked her methods better LOL. They had a great time (not like when I did alone). Both Cammy and Nitro now have their CGC and will take the therapy dog test as soon as I can schedule it. So, go find a trainer by asking around. Not all trainers are good. Look for one who does positive renforcement training. You puppy will love you for it. Have fun. Read less
