You know, I never really thought of it that way. It is heart breaking when you go into a shelter and can not take all the animals home with you. Infact, about a year ago I was at Hernando County Animal Shelter helping my brother in law to adopt a dog. I had to go back a couple times since then and it breaks my heart everytime. And I always have that thought you talked about, being afraid of it being to sad to volunteer at the Humane Society. But you brought up a really great point. You are really enhancing their lives while they are there. Thank you for showing the other side of the coin. Read less
