One of our wonderful volunteers likes to sew. She goes to every garage and yard sale in her area, buys blankets and towels, etc. and then takes them home and reworks them by cutting out any bad parts. She then cuts them to size for cat cages and dog pens, sometimes adds material to 'fluff' them up, sews them up to make them more comfortable and brings large stacks of very nice blankets and pads to the shelter.
