Why is my kitty losing hair?

I have a big, sweet, meatloaf-shaped kitty named Curley. He has started losing hair in the area near his tail. He isn't scratching or biting and there's no flea dirt anywhere. He is eating and seems to be in good spirits. The vet suggested a thyroid problem and wants to do blood work. Anyone have any experience with this? read more

Hamsters are self-cleaning and will take care of their own fur. Just keep the food and water available and fresh and clean their cages regularly. These are great little pets! read more

Just imagine what this would mean to pet overpopulation! The idea of no more unwanted pets is a dream, but this could bring it closer to reality. Don't scoff! What now is taken for granted was only a vague hope a few decades ago!
