I wish..... Do you see how tightly he's hanging on to that pacifier? He was probably afraid I'd take that away, too..... I swore I'd never give either one of them a pacifier. The hospital nurse suggested I show them their thumbs so they wouldn't need a pacifier. I had a friend with a thumb that was deformed from sucking it when she was a baby. My daughter stopped taking a pacifier very easily. My son went through "withdrawal." It was really sad. He cried for days......

Thanks, Alice, I don't think a preference for pacifiers comes naturally. The hospital nurses encouraged it.

You will note that the bottle contains apple juice.... I used to water it down because I was afraid he'd get cavities. He LOVED apple juice!
