It's so funny, because I didn't think of those glasses as being large. On the other hand, I did wear some that were even bigger. Little did I know that years down the road I'd look back and laugh about them.
Glasses look fine to me! Until two yrs. ago, mine were almost that big - the frame finally snapped. Not bad for about 15 yrs. old. I like the big frames because my whole view is in focus and I'm not conscious of the frame. I don't know how people can stand those little weenie things! The pair I have now is smaller, but it was the largest I could find.
Cute photo....nice costumes! Bet you could actually SEE out of those glasses....unlike the minature little glasses everyone wears now that look more like reading glasses.
You're right! They had a hard time fitting no line bifocals on the ones I wear. I refused to get a larger pair of glasses. .....probably because I didn't want to look like this photo.
I tried those when I first went to bifocals, and after three days I went back and got the "executive" cut - the line goes all the way across - not that little "D" shape. I found it really had to read or write since the focus area was so small with the progressive ones.
I am hoping that I never need to go back to glasses. Contacts have been working for ok for a long time, even with the bifocal issues I have inherited the past several years.
I made their costumes every year. I worked second shift for years so I rarely was ever able to take them trick or treating. My husband always was the lucky one.

I remember they used to leave a dent on the bridge of my nose because they were so heavy.

What a cute photo. Those glasses were in style before I had to start wearing them. The kids are awfully cute even if your son was not happy.

I have a really small face so most glasses look big on me. My last pair was from the kid's section.

Glasses like that were all the rage in '91. Hard to believe now! Love the photo, but one of you doesn't seem to be in the Halloween spirit!

He wanted his bottle, not a pacifier. Of course, I gave it to him. I'll have to upload the next photo so you can see the result.
