Zeciaus, the black and white cat, was adopted from WCHS when I worked there. When he came in he was in pretty rough shape. But with the help of the wonderful staff, a good pair of clippers, and some medication, we got him looking like he does today. I actually was called out to pick him up in West Bend. The people who found him, thought he'd been hit by a car. Like I said, he looked rough. He had a bad injury to his front right leg and 85% of his body was matted. He also had an upper repiratory infection and diarrhea. It's amazing that an animal can come in looking as poorly as he did, and after lots of love and care, can go to a wonderful home and be as content as he is. I know that is he grateful for all that was done to him, because he thanks us every day with all the love he gives. I truely believe that animals adopted from a shelter understand that they've been given a second chance at love and every day they strive to show us how thankful they are. Zeciaus has been a wonderful addition to our home (we adopted him in 2006) and we couldn't imagine our life without him!
