This is an awesome story about a super little dog! My dogs have lived to 15 and 13, current one is 13. My horses have been 21, 23 and this one is 29..... I love a good long romp with my favorite pet!! Chanel may not romp much, but I bet she does in her heart! Makes me feel good to think 13 really isn't very old! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

It is good to hear that her organs are sound and she is still healthy at such an advanced age for a dog.

I believe Bluey was a blue heeler cattle dog, not a sheepdog. Also, there was a female blue heeler that was still living a couple of years ago that was, I think, 27. Longevity is wonderful, but should be balanced with quality of life. So long as Chanel is happy with her life as it is, more years to her!
My Wiggles Blue Heeler will be eleven in July!
