I would personally think this would be a travesty, of hypocritical proportions

I think this would be a huge mistake. He does not need to be a POSTER CHILD for anything related to animals.

Ok I am not really sure why PETA of all organizations would want to have anything to do with Michael Vick, considering they actually believe all pitbulls are evil. Ingrid Newkirk** actually wrote an article saying that she believes they should all be eradicated, specifically that breed specific legislation was pertinent in getting this "situation" under control and that the grandfather clause (everything thats here today stays and anything after is killed) would solve this "situation". By making a breed illegal, that would mean that responsible people like me who have good nice pitbulls would no longer be able to have them. However, the people who she doesn't want to own pitbulls, who fight them and abuse and neglect them, can still do so. They don't care. It doesn't stop them from buying and selling drugs, guns, etc just because it's illegal. It makes it "cooler". And what a way to make abusing a dog cooler, Ingrid. High five.

Talk about a way to blow a good life doing a barbaric thing. Has anyone seen him do any PETA work?

Who cares if he sobs about how much he has lost by "getting caught". Kids need to know why dog fighting is cruel. Kids are told that the dogs enjoy it and love to fight. They figure if the dogs participate they must love it. If Vick is going to say anything publicaly he should explain that he now realizes dogs are not meant to do this. They suffer and need cruel extensive training in order to fight. That's what he should discuss. I could care less what he lost and so could kids.

I think this is nothing but a publicity stunt. I don't believe that he means a word of it. How can you do what he did to these animals and then all of a sudden say that it was wrong, and mean it. I don't think this statement is coming from his heart, I only think he's looking at his pocketbook!!

I'm not sure he means what he says...or he's just trying to gain favor. Lost everything? I doubt it....unless he spent everything and saved nothing.

I am glad that his way of thinking may have changed, but I still think he should pay for the wrong that he has done.

You know, whenever someone does something bad (for instance dog-fighting) they always try to make it up by working with PETA or a shelter or something like that. I can't look at this man and actually believe that he cares about the animals. He's doing it to better his reputation, and it's sick.

I think this would be a great way for him to give back what he took away from those dogs that he made fight. he should be required to do this.

He doesn't deserve to participate in the campaign. He deserves the worse sentencing and then some.
