Well he is out now. Let's see if the oh so greedy NFL hires him--I think that if they can overcome the backlash they will.

They can keep him. I gave my Vick jersey to the dogs to tear up as soon as I heard about this.

Supplies money for gambling, provided the "entertainment", provided the location, but was not directly involved with gambling - he only murdered the losers.... 5-years is not enough.

That should be eight counts of murder. Killing dogs often a step on the way to killing people. Such an ability should be punished for what he did: murder times eight.

Just because he was a big time star did not give him the right to torture those poor animals. That is what dog fighting is it is toture. I hope he spends a long time in jail and when he gets out I hope he is never allowed to own animals and if he violates that right back to jail he should go.

I think animal advocates and people all over who love animals celebrated the day Vick went to jail. To think I used to really like him as a pro ball player.

He should be so ashamed of himself. A man in his priveliged position, thinking he could do anything he wanted because he was a celebrity. Violence has become such an accepted part of society-where will it end?

I know that this is really late on the issue. But he was just trying to plea bargin. Wish his life was ruined for ever....his brothers for that matter too. Unfortunately, nothing major will happen to him. Watch, in a few years, he will have another job in the NFL.

I would be grateful to see some sort of mandatory ethics clause written in to the contracts of professional athletes. These people mean so much to so many other individuals, young and old, as role models. I would hope that the owner's and the media would feel at least some responsibility to promote ethical and moral behavior. Breaking the law or getting involved in iffy situations should mean they get permanently barred from professional sports, the same as using steroids or gambling on sports.

Sick of Vick. Is he trying to make himself look remorseful or sorry for what he did by turning himself in early? He should not ever be able to own another animal and he should definately have a lifetime ban from NFL.
