I blame the person responsible for the dog. It happened to me at an agility competition. Had I taken better care and ensured the dog had plenty of opportunity, it probably would not have happened. At least, it never happened since - I learned my lesson.

when ya gotta go, ya gotta go... geeezz... poor pup... no one thought to consider that this might happen...?? grab a poop bag & clean up... stop & think... i would rather see a pup poop on the field, then see a fight, a streaker or something of the like...

LOL! Poor Yogi! People have to know the dog has to be walked before every game. Not dogs fault. It is the fault of whom ever was in charge of the dog.

Sometimes walking them doesn't help - they go when they have to go. The ump should lighten up. Like the other comment - grab a scoop, pick it up and get over it.

Come on folks--this is a funny story--and I truly don't believe that handsome Yogi was shamed or that he was "scorned by some". More likely a good laugh was shared by all--except for the grumpy umpire.

Maybe no one told the ump that most people like dogs to be housebroken. And probably no one thought to bring a poop scoop with them, and the ump didn't have one either.
Poor Yogi should be confused at this point.

Give me a break! He is a dog. Was he supposed to get in the bathroom line by the concession stand? It's not like he went over and lifted his leg on an opposing team member. (Although that would be a pretty neat trick) Anyone who gave Master Yogi a hard time should be ashamed.

Ball players are spitting and scratching and the dog gets ejected for peeing! They have bathrooms for men and women, do they have one for Yogi? Where was he suppose to go? Shouldn't we look at the bright side and commend him for peeing and not dropping a load? Keep Yogi, eject the umpire.

Nice idea having a dog fetch the baseballs but they are going to go when they have to go. He's outside in the grass so what could be more natural? I guess if the officials don't like it the idea should be reconsidered.
