Hubby and me love the Yankees! I have watched them all of my life...I still remember the tragic death of catcher, Thurman Munson. He was really someone to be remembered. I remember as a teen, Bucky Dent, the once shortstop. All the girls drooled over him. And, who could forget Reggie Jackson? Congratulations, Yankees! Glad to see another world series under your belt!

I only saw one pet with a Yankees bandana...It was really cute. But, I am thinking many more fans could have donned their furkids in Yankees garb for the occasion!

Deb, I said the same thing. Only one pet with a Yankees Bandana...I love parades and hubby and me both love the Yanks. However, going to NYC is not something I would enjoy doing. Been there a couple of times and it is toooooo busy for me...lol

You can say that again, Katie! I don't watch sports and neither does hubby. However, the world series got our attention because we both love the Yankees! Woohoo on their 27th world series victory!

Momba, it's tough when their is a split such as that! But, the Yanks did it and they played a good game! Hubby and me like the Yanks and are happy about their victory. I would not want to see them win every year as I do believe there is plenty of room in the limelight. May the Phillys win the next one...:)

Having a winning team is no reason for people to mess up the city with litter! It costs thousands of dollars to clean up after such celebrations. Why can't the people use trash cans??

Michele, you are so right! What a mess they make! And, it is not just for this occasion, either. No matter what the celebration, there is always so much cleaning up to do. Think about the upcoming Macy's Thanksgiving Parade...The cost of that cleanup is going to be phenominal as well. Then, the New Year's celebration. Geez, the millions spent on cleaning up after people could be put to so much better use.

What truly is irritating to me is that there are trash cans all over the place. They even put out numerous extra ones. But, do people use them? Nooo!
