The Softer Side of Howard Stern

With the capacity to shelter 300 animals at any given time, North Shore Animal League is known to be the “largest no-kill animal rescue” in America. Every year, NSAL organizes an event, The DogCatemy Celebrity Gala, to get celebrities and petlanthropists together in order to raise money for their cause: find homes for orphaned animals.
One such celebrity seems to have quite the influence and outreach to recruit new supporters; Beth O. Stern. She has gotten her husband, Howard Stern, along with many team members from The Howard Stern Show, to become strong advocates of this well known shelter.
It seems to be that Howard is influencing his audience, as well. Howard Stern has always been known for shocking his listeners/viewers. But over the years, this "shock factor” has become expected of him and what you may now find shocking, is his ability to draft supporters from his fan base through his compassion for North Shore Animal League.
