Aw, that is really sweet especially when you consider that dogs aren't too welcome there & it seems pretty hard to keep a dog there.

Both service dogs and therapy dogs are tuned to the emotions of the individuals to whom they are suppose to be intuned with. However, therapy dogs have a greater population to be intuned to as service dogs have a specific job to perform rather it be for an individual with a special need or in the military. This is great to get the therapy dogs in touch with the soliders. I wonder if their impact might help with solving some of the PTSD issues before the soliders actually arrive home.

This is a very worthwhile program. Men and women on active duty in the military have their human buddies to depend on, but everyone needs the unconditional love and loyalty that only a dog can give.

Anything to help these soldiers caught in a rotten unnecessay war. They have done everything asked of them, then some. Any small measure of comfort that can be bought to them I am all for it. These dogs are heroes, too.

I wish Boe and Budge much luck and safety on their very important mission. It is wonderful to see that even the military is starting to recognize the value that animal companionship and love bring to humans.

I am so glad to hear about this program. My husband recently returned from Iraq, and there were several soldiers that committed suicide during his time there. There's no doubt this program will help in preventing future attempts and uplift .
