Not take away from the dogs extremely intelligent and loyal behavior, but how did the dog save this women's life? And why is the dog being rewarded the "People's Dispensary for Sick Animals"? Is the dog sick? Just questions to ponder.

I'm glad that more of these stories become public. In the past it was often played off as "coincidence" or "fluke" but there are so many instances where animals save other animals or humans that even the skeptics will have to admit to their intelligence.

Good for the society for honoring this dog. I will never understand how they know something is wrong, and what to do, and where to go for help. The animal kingdom is an enigma, but we are enriched by it.
