I have a shelter cat who LOVES to perform! I tried to get him into Hollywood Paws animal acting but I thought it was a scam so I didn't go but my cat easily learns a large amount of tricks as well as he loves other people and animals 2X bigger then he is. :)

I also heard shelter cats are thrown (not literally) on a stage and those who don't run get used and those who do run get adopted out.

Forgot to mention my cats fetch, give 5, wave, high 5, high wave, sit on command, sit up, bow and turn left/turn right, come on command...I want to teach my Tonk mix to do freestyle cat dance like people do dog dancing.

It is very true that people see a movie and think it s trendy and cute to get the pet. I'm glad they use shelter pets whenever possible. More awareness about shelter pets always helps. This does look like a cute movie.

the only problem is when a certain breed is used everyone has to have one and don't do their research to see if it is the right pet for them

I love this these shelter animals get a second chance plus if they show any animals getting adopted from the shelter on a movie then alot of people see it and decide to do it in real life. Also it is a good example for children and I know for a fact that most animals in movies and tv shows are from shelters and after they no longer use the animals they find homes with the actors and acctresses or other members of the crew who worked with them sometimes they get homes with the animal trainers.
