The fact that the winners of the "Most Valuable Pet" contest gave back the money to help even more pets shows that these were "Most Valuable People!"

I wish I had known this was going on! I love all my animals to death, but I think Malibu is just one of those "extra special" cats. Malibu was either unsocialized or feral, and she wedged herself very tightly in the engine of our Chevy Malibu when she saw my brother approaching. It took us 1 hr to get her out. Keep in mind this was in the afternoon on July 13 in Nor Cal, so it wasn't exactly the nicest of days temperature wise! She is a long haired odd eyed brown ticked tabby w/ white. I took her to a show around Christmas time last year, and I distinctly remember one of the judges reactions. I was waiting quite nervously as she took her out and set her on the table. After a minute or so of examining her, she looked up, smiled and said "You know how special this cat is, right?" I smiled back and said yes. We definitely have a spiritual bond. The day we found her was the 1 yr anniversary of losing my cat Tiger to heart failure. She is calm, sweet and passive just like Tiger was. I really hope she will turn out to be a good therapy cat.

What a great contest, I think my Tordisshell Calico cat mix female named Teddy could win this contest. Teddy was the runt of the litter and she had hearts on the bottoms of her back paws we adopted her from the local humane socitey and she has some strange intrests such as playing with dirty socks and sticking her head in everyones sneakers. Teddy was also best friends with our english cocker spaniel named Lady. Teddy would ride around the house on Lady's back until we lost Lady cause she got hit by a car. Teddy is still around and is 17 years old she will be 18 in august on the 19th but as long as Teddy would not have to do any tricks or come to where ever it is with me. Teddy is a definite winning kitty cat in my book for this contest.
