I'll never forget the day I walked into a PetLand and watched a man buy an obviously sick and poorly bred english bulldog puppy to a man who was trying to get his wife to reconsider their pending divorce. I tried to tell the man that the dog didn't look healthy and wasn't worth the $3500 that he was paying, but he said that his wife liked puppies and that he didn't have the time to go look around a shelter for a young dog that would stay small and cute. I hope that this who pet store chain will be closed down for good and the puppy mill breeders will get put out of business.
