THis is really nice. There are alot of people that want good pets. They are also good dogs for elderley people. This is a great group! Keep doing this and just remember how hard it gets your saving the lives of hundreds of little dogs from death!

I love programs like this! My local shelter just transported 8 dogs three hours away to get them adopted.

Wonderful program! I wish that celebs like Paris Hilton & non-celebs would be more responsible.

I live in mid missouri. Until just recently our shelter had teamed up with a rescue/transportation group from Quincy, Illinois who took both large and small dogs. They sent dogs to Minn., Kansas, east to Va, and on a couple of occasions N.C. Our foster/rescue coordinator sent out an e-mail yesterday that we had sent 50 dogs last month to rescues. The lady in Quincy who operated the transport had to step down due to health reasons. She worked full time and still managed to put in 40 to 60 hous a week arranging transports. There are many who do this, they just don' get publicity

Why can't they do this with bigger breed dogs as well mainly the ones who have trouble finding homes such as mutts, Labs and pittbulls. there is one organization that does this but I haven't heard of any others and what about the other pets such as cats and barnyard animals and oh yeah birds, reptiles and amphibians and fish as well.
