Polite Burglar Concerned about Dog, Calls Owner

This has to be one of the wackiest burglaries I've ever heard of! At least she was concerned about the dog.

Maybe she should have left first and then called about the dog. Enjoying cake and milk? Sounds more like she needed a place to stay and something to eat then to steal something. Kicking the police officer....never a good idea.

Wow, this is strange. Maybe the loose dog made the woman realize how foolish it was to be in the position she put herself and just waited out the consequences. As to the charge of "offensive touching of a police officer", I really don't know what to say about that. Sounds like they could come up with a better name for that crime.

Obviously this women needs some help, but not jail time. I hope the homeowner talks with the police and court system to get the woman some counseling. I don't think incarceration is the answer in this case.

I would also like followup on if dog was found and what happened to the woman. I am glad she cared enough to be concered about the dog's safety. How did she know the woman's work number? Why didn't she just leave after the call instead of making herself a snack.

How very weird! Wouldn't the burglar have realized that when she called the woman that she would have either rushed home or called the police who would have arrived in minutes? I'm glad she called about the dog but she's obviously not the sharpest tack in the box!
