Im always watching how my animals act. We have a cat that has always been a daddys boy and he would always be on my husbands lap and cuddling with my husband and lately hes been cuddling with me. It freaked me out when it first started, i thought maybe he wasnt feeling good. But ive kept a close eye on him and he seems to be fine. I think he just realized that im the one more often with a free hand to pet him and give him attention. But i still keep an eye on how the animals are acting.

when a stray cat i was caring for disappeared just before he was to come inside, another stray on our waiting list started crying persistently just outside the opening to an abandoned house. he was a bit of a talker anyway so i didn't think anything of it at first, but the following day i went into the house. the missing cat was just a few feet from the opening, only i was too late. it wasn't in a place i could see from the outside, i had to go in the backdoor and down to the basement, but now i know to take the cats more seriously.

Animals can sense things, especially if there's a close bond. I had harassment problems with an ex-boyfriend (shortly after I broke up with him & I moved back home, we got our pit mix, Kali)...Kali & I bonded immediately & I noticed that if she had at least a paw touching me while we slept, my ex was going to do something to harass me (usually it was some strange pervert calling me at like 4 am). This is why I say that Kali & I rescued each other-we were there for each other when we needed it the most!

You are so right about how animals sense things. I was out walking with Eboni one evening and this guy was "jogging" by. She was growling at him and I had to hold her back until he was gone. She had never done that before and has not done it since. I truly believe she picked up on something about this guy.

My dog Skitters is a defenet hero she always will let me and my brothers know when our blood sugar's are low and when they are high. One night I tried to go to sleep and Skitters would not stop nudgeing me until I got up and checked my blood sugar it was really low like 30 and I got up and had glucose tablets and then waited 15 minutes and then re-checked it was normal again 100 so then I was able to have a snack. Once my blood sugar was fine again Skitters let me go to sleep. That was the first night she did it but she saved my life that night and I am greatful for that if she wouldn't have nudged me contunuessly until I got up and checked my blood sugar I could have went into a diabetic comma and not woken up the next morning at all. She saved my life. Animals that save people are so amazing and so are some people who save animals. My dad's cat Tickles he got her from the humane socitey and after rescuing her he was no longer in a deep deppression. Also his dog Shasta got him out and exercising once again after he got her. I never knew my youngest brother had such a soft side until he rescued a chuaihau puppy out of the street and wanted to keep her if we didn't find the owners sorry if I spelled that wrong. He is not an animal person at all but once he found that teeny tiny puppy running loose he had an incridably soft side he would not let her out of his sight it was like she was his daughter or something. We did find the puppies owners who were so happy to get her back they said they had been looking for her and that they opened the door and she ran out and got loose and would not come back cause she had not learned her name yet.
