Skitters is not a certified service dog but they should just give her the vest and the certificate with out any training cause I am diabetic and she knows when my blood sugar is high and when it is low she gives me nudges and won't stop until I check it and take care of it. When she nudged me the first time it was unexpected it was at night about a year after I had became diabetic it was night time and I was trying to go to sleep when Skitters began nudging me so I tried letting her down off the bed for a drink of water and tried giving her some food and even a toy and a rawhyde but it didn't work so I tried to let her outside that didn't work either and I was feeling just fine then when I got back in bed Skitters was back on the bed too and she nudged my blood sugar machine so I checked my blood sugar it was very low like 44 so I had some glucose tablets which are sugar tablets and once it was back up I had a snack and when it got to a good number which is like 140 I tried to go to sleep this time Skitters allowed it. Shorty also seems to know when it is low or high so does Cricket my grandma's dog and Miss Kitty my grandma's cat Teddy also knew when she was around but there are 6 people in my family with type one diabetes I think so it is good that our animal friends are so smart.
