In what's thought to be a string of related killings, two piglets were brutally murdered in Plant City, Florida.

The baby pigs were in their pen over the weekend when between Saturday night and Sunday morning, someone allegedly let their dogs attack them before stabbing them to death.

They were found by the Farkas sisters, Lyndsay and Leann, who were raising the pigs. The 13 year-olds were shocked to find the bodies bloodied and mutilated when they went to feed them Sunday morning.

The pigs' ears were shredded and their bodies were covered in bite marks – which authorities believe to be from one or more dogs. They also appear to have been stabbed to death, with a knife or spear.

The killer also cut a small square of skin from each animal, which the Farkas' believe was taken as a trophy.

Paw prints were found in the pen, and reports have been made of similar incidents in the area. Whoever is responsible faces felony first-degree animal cruelty charges.

The Farkas family is offering a reward for any information leading to the person responsible.
