What a great sense of humor they all had about it allowing the dog to compete!

This is a really fun story. My own dog got into a cake that I was making for hire for a neighbor's birthday. And I couldn't get made because I was the one who left the cake in plain sight.

I never saw this one until I saw your post. It's so funny what animals will do to get at something they want. I saw a news clip last night where a dog ran into a convenience store. He ran right to the pet food section, grabbed a rawhide bone and ran back out, before the store owner could grab him. I wonder what they would have charge him with, had they caught him? LOL

ROFLOL! Now that must have been cute! A pet bone bandit! So how did he know so quick where to go I wonder? I can't fault the dog for the pies as he may have been hungry, or a smell might have been tasty to him. Can't fault the bone bandit either. Okay, I know I am a push over for animals! lol!

I saw the actual footage on the news last night. It was really funny. They said the owner was shouting"drop that bone". :-) It looked as though the dog knew exactly where to go. Smart pup!

I am glad the dog is okay. It doesn't take long for some pets to get into things and food is a pretty motivating factor,

Food eating contests are a gross waste of time anyways. Send some pies to Hawaii next time to feed people who apparenlty are stealing dogs from golf courses and eating them according to the next article.

Dogs shouldn't be tested on how many pies they can eat, their talent is how many pies can sampled/stepped in/etc. (or so my 2 dogs tell me)!

I'm laughing while I'm writing this. Many yrs ago on Thanksgiving my aunt had taken the turkey out of the oven and put it on top of the stove. She left the kitchen for a few minutes when she returned the turkey was gone. We found it in the bedroom, her 2 dogs had taken it in there and starting feasting. We saved alot of it and brought it back and served it up. I kept that secret until the day she died, and every yr I have that great memory of her.

Wow. That's a lot of pie for one little dog. I remember last Thanksgiving when my cat devoured half of a pumpkin pie that we had sitting on the counter. Animals and their silly ways....
