I agree with WonderWeezy... They are adorable, but no wild animal should be a pet.

Otters are very cute. But unless you have a nice own space with water for them, then I do not think they should be a pet

Wild animals are wild. I wouldn't mind having one I could watch out the window of my home and throw fish to, but I don't know that I would call him a "pet."

i never thought of having one as a pet but they shouldnt be pets.first of all you would have to have a giant thing of water and you would also need otter food where do you get that. they suppose to stay in the water

Otters are cute animals but just like any other wild animals they should stay in the wild unless there is some reason they can't be in the wild such as if they are blind missing all of their teeth or missing all of their claws or missing one of their legs of course but then the people who are properly trained should be taking care of them. I think by not letting the chimpanzee that michael jackson owned remain in the wild it's life was ruined if a famous person takes an animal they don't care I never understood that. But that chimp would be living a happy life in the wild today if it were not for the idiotic michael jackson. If I were trained properly I would definitly work with these poor animals that can not be released back out into the wild. But this stuff only usaully happens when there is a pocher or an illegal seller of excotic pets involved.

I consider it a treat to see them in the wild. They're not supposed to be pets.
