A chance meeting at a New York City dog run gave New Hampshire natives Jennifer Jill and Leeland Allen the idea for a new business — one that would allow city dogs to get a taste of the country life.
Ten years later, the result of this idea, Northward Hound, is thriving. Through their business, Jill and Allen offer urban pooches the chance to enjoy fresh air, roam through wide open green spaces, and interact with new animals.
These entrepreneurs have also given back to their communities in order to help other dogs and cats, donating a percentage of their profits to shelters in New York City and New Hampshire.
Check out the photo gallery below to find out more about Northward Hound and see the lucky dogs who have enjoyed their stays in New Hampshire.

Are humans welcomed too? I'd love a day just to roam with my dog across the countryside.
