No More Dog Poo Worries

NATION – A franchise company dedicated to ridding America's yards of unwanted dog poop might be coming to your neighborhood.
Pet Butler is touted by its CEO (Chief Excrement Officer) Matt Boswell as the, “#1 in #2.” The company started in 1998 and has since grown to a franchise based organization. Today, there are 92 franchises in 26 states nation-wide.
And they all do the same thing; pick up your dog's...poop. Yeah, it's a dirty job, but for those of us who would rather not trudge through our yards to clean up after Fido, it's not a bad option.
If you're thinking there's no way you could rationalize this, consider the following. Dog doo plays host to bacteria like round worm and e. coli - which can live in your yard long after the poop is scooped.
What's more, phosphorus and nitrogen are bowel byproducts that, when collected in waterways, create ammonia that kills fish. It smells really bad, too.
Pet Butler is no joke. In 2007, they posted revenues exceeding $3.5 million. Originally meant for those with extra money to spend, the business has spread into all neighborhoods. Probably because it's cheap. Depending on the number of dogs and frequency of pick-ups, you can get your yard cleaned from about $10-20 per week.
Disposal of the waste depends on where you live and your state's environmental regulations. But with Pet Butler, you won't have to worry about stepping in it, ever again.
