I wouldn't use it with a leash but it sounds like a great idea for those who have a dog who spends most of his time outdoors.

what a great idea. I just wonder if there will be pets smart enough to realise that it stretches and they will purposely slip out of it! hope not! hopefully it will save a lot of pets lives.

This sounds like a great collar as well as the other products. I hope they keep coming up with more ideas for useful products.

Sounds like a good idea if you let your pet in the yard a lot... Not sure about walks though.

Great for pet safety. Probably not good for a leash.

I had a cat collar like it one time, but after replacing it two times, i did not get another one. This is a catch 22, it might save my pets life, or it might leave it without identification. Since I don't have a problem with my dogs in regards to pulling away, I'd say I'd like to try it again. With the extra protection of a microchip, which all my animals have, i'm willing to risk having to replace the collar in exchange for knowing that they are not going to die if they get hung up somewhere

I like the idea of this collar for dogs-there is a similar product for cats produced for the same reason. Glad this guy decided to go ahead with his idea!

This sort of collar has been around for cats for ages - I wonder what took so long to bring it to dogs. Of course, the downside is that the animal can slip its collar more easily and then would be out without identification.

I like the idea of a safe collar, but I also want to be able to grab and hang onto my dog in certain situations. Not sure that that collar would work like that.

With the state of the economy and the job losses here, I would not consider it unless it was made in the U.S.

Pretty slick, but this feature has been around in cat collars for years. I always wondered why it was not applied to dogs. Glad to see that someone had the insight to pick up on the idea.

Good move.

I think that this could be a great idea. Being able to save themselves and not suffering is a great thought. But I have to wonder also if the ability to get it off would be a not so good thing for the ones that use it to theor advantage. I will have do some more investigating about these type of collars.

I like the idea of a safety collar. My neighbor has them on her cats, but they keep getting them off by themselves. In that regard I think that putting a collar on is king of pointless. I will have to check out this new collar and see how it works out.

Wonderful idea. I was just telling a friend this weekend that I would like my dogs to wear a collar just in case they ran out the door before I could grab them & take off. I worry that I wouldn't be able to find them nor would anyone know who to call, but at the same time I was worried about one of them getting their collar caught on the doggy door or the fence and choke itself. Therefore they only wear their collar with identification while we are walking. I will definitely be checking out this collar.

Great idea. I only put our dogs collar on when we are with her, but this way she can wear it when she is in the yard, in case she was to get lost, she would have her tags.

Our dog got his lower jaw caught in the collar of another dog. If we hadn't been right there, one dog would have suffocated and the other would have a broken jaw.

What a great Idea... My dogs love to hang out in the yard so I will always have a collar and tags on them just in case. You never know when they feel like trying to dig out. I don't want to loose any of them and god knows that I would never want the collar to get caught on something. I think if more dogs wore collars and tags we would be able to find their homes If for some reason they got out of the house or yard. It can happen and I would rather be safe than sorry...

My dog wears a harness for walking and nothing outside in the yard. She doesn't stay outside in the yard anyway...unless I am with her to play. Why does a dog really need a collar unless they are being walked? This sounds like a better idea for cats--they don't like collars either.............

I used to worry my dog would get hungup in his crate when he was a puppy, so I always removed his collar. I don't crate him now because he has a safe place to go to when he is alone. But I could see him getting himself into a predicament and panicking. This is a good idea.
