I think this is a great idea. I had a dog that jumped out the window of the car when I ran in to the store to get some chews to keep her busy on a road trip. Her leash caught on the shifter and a homeless man saved her life. It only took me about 4 minutes in the store, and I thought she'd be fine. A collar like this might have saved her if the homeless man had not. (And I don't leave dogs in cars at all any longer).

Great solution to a problem. We changed from collars to a harness after an incident where one of our dogs got tangled in the tie out we had on another dog and had the pet flying in the air. It was horrible...but no one was hurt....just scared!

Sounds like a great idea...I have heard of similar problems, where the collar gets stuck or has choked the dog. The doggie bag sounds great also, I would buy one.

Sounds like a neat thing; I'd hate for my dog's collar to get stuck on something. But I'd have to make sure he had his tags on so I could find him!

These are great especially for dogs that may be left out in a fenced in yard while the owners may be away for awhile or haven't been able to check on their dog often. I wouldn't want to use it while my dog was on a leash though. People have to be careful how they would use these without putting their dog in harms way.

Very innovative! I hope this product is truly safer for dogs and doesn't allow their collar to slip off unnecessarily.

GREAT IDEA! I had a puppy that almost hung himself off our deck, fortunately we found him in time but I do know people that have lost loved pets this way - this collar could save so many lives.

i wonder if this would work for other animals-years ago i had a goat who accidentally strangled after getting a lead caught. what a great potentially life saving idea.

Safety collars are a good idea for indoor and outdoor pets, especially ones that are active and prone to get into things! My little kitten is so nosy, and countless times I have found his collar laying around on the ground! It makes me feel grateful that he was able to free himself. At the same time, I wish there was something else that could be used so that if they were to lose their collars, they could still be identified. Aside from the microchip?

I need a medium in purple and a small in pink. I rarely let the girls out of my sight outside but am always paranoid that something will happen.

This sounds like a good idea unless it is too easy for the dog to get out of when you don't want it running loose. The water bowl sounds interesting too.

What a great idea! We once watched our dog get hung up on a dead branch when playing in the orchard. We were horrified that he just stood there (apparently waiting for someone to come help him) and didn't even try to move. It made us very aware of the problem of dogs, and cats, getting hung up in their collars. I'm glad someone finally came up with a collar to prevent the problem.

I would never put a collar on a dog that is in a yard. My brother-in-law came home from work one day and found that his dog had hung himself on the fence.

This sounds like it could be good for some one whose dog is out side with out supervision but as for anything else I would think that it would be a great way to loose you dog.

Yea, if I'm going to put a collar on my cats, it sure better be safe. You'd think they could come up w/ something 100% safe

We have to tie up our dogs during hunting season b/c we dont want them to get shot for chasing deer. This collar would allow them to get free and possibly get shot. We would never be able to use it. I guess it would be okay for anyone else though.

Great thought and invention! When I was a child my neighbors dog strangled in her collar after hanging it on something and it was just awful. I wish him all the success in the world with his company and hope he is able to manufacture in the US!
