My potential man must love cats. I have 6 of them! My cats are not snobs so unless the man is a jerk, they will like him, even my semi ferals.

I wouldn't have to worry cause my cat isn't going to let you in unless she likes you. Yes I said cat, she thinks she's a dog and she will and does attack anyone she doesn't know or dislikes. Beware of CAT signs are put up on my door! So you have to win her to get to me! Ha ha hee hee.

Yep.. You don't like my pets, you don't like me, it's that simple. I've heard animals are good judge of characters. Too bad somtimes bad characters get ahold of good pets.

Love me....Love my pets. How true. My miniature dachshund was never around a lot of mean so she was nervous around them. Not true of my husband. He sat down and she jumped in his lap. He won't let me forget it either!

I am not impressed when people tell me they are animal lovers until I see them around animals and hear how knowledgable they are. Do they practice what they preach? Animal lover is used very loosely these days.

There have been a few self proclaimed animal lovers who I do not get along with. True animals lovers know what I mean.

yes, love me, love my pup. It shows how sweet someone is when they do something nice for your pet. Bring over a cage, lend u a carrying container, bring treats. Animals are a great judge of character. Animals rule.

This cracks me up! When I was single, with cat, I always had to interview before dating to make sure the guy liked cats. Otherwise I knew there was no way it was going to work and didn't bother trying!

My pets have been there more for me then anyone. If my boyfriend doesn't like animals he needs to get a different one. I have a horse, a dog, a cat... why would I want to mess that up by bringing a boy in?

In a way, our pets are like a test to our partners. You know if he or she is a good person by the way they treat the animal. Besides, cats and for sure dogs as well feel it if the person can be trusted or not.

I never thought about meeting the pet, but I've heard a lot about fighting over a pet in divorse! I have a friend who fought for custidy of a cat. she is still mad because the judge gave her the kitchen furiture an not the cat!

When I met my husband, he had the two dachshunds who have NO manners, and he had only ever had small dogs. When we adopted our big dog together, he had to learn a lot about WHY dogs have to have manners. (Good training for when we have kids.) Luckily we got a really great big dog!

I came into my marriage with a big goofy black Lab and my husband had only had one dog in his life,Can you imagine,only one??LOL As the kids came so did the dogs.He's loved them all,kids and dogs.LOLI guess I just married a man who secretly is a dog lover.LOL

I have always believed my close pets have a better intuition about people than I do. Every time I have had a pet act adversely when meeting someone and I overrode their decision, I was later forced to admit that maybe they were right in the first place. Also, everytime they eagerly accepted someone, I found that person to become a lifelong friend. My pets know me better than I know myself I think.
