The AP reported this week that a Lawrenceville Georgia man has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals. This for allegedly feeding neighbors' cats to his pit bulls.
Tye Hilmo, 21, is said to have captured cats and kittens from his neighborhood and let his dogs kill and eat them.
On September 10th, the day of the arrest, investigators found two dead cats and 2 pounds of marijuana and guns inside Hilmo's Dacula home.
An anonymous source tipped off Gwinnett County authorities of Hilmo's activities. The source alleged he may be training dogs for fighting – a charge which has not yet been proved. But a gruesome image of one pit bull chewing on a dead cat with the caption “Good dog” was found.
If convicted of the felony charges, Hilmo could face up to five years in jail and a $15,000 fine.
