It is good that well to do people can help shelters, but it would be good if they would help the smaller ones and not just the big ones

I'm glad these celebs help out these shelters, but I do wish they would look at some of the smaller shelters in rural areas that are desperate for help. How much good could they do by funding a spay/neuter bus or a county shelter?

Good point! I think our shelter really tries with some of it's events. But.... we need a shot of big bucks to really make a difference. Do you know any celebrities?? Ha, ha.

Too bad that only the already well known seem to get celeb support. Of course part of it is the fact that they are in cities where more celebs live or visit. Those of us in rural areas don't get that kind of support.

Lynn Redgrave adopted an Irish wolfhound mix back from Animal Haven, which is a NO KILL shelter back in 2003 when she was fighting cancer. Nice story.
